Call for Musicians

The third annual Galveston Cajun Festival, set for Father’s Day weekend, June 15th-17th, will celebrate the best of Texas and Louisiana-style food, family fun and live entertainment — island style!

The grand event will be held on the beautiful grounds of Beach Central Park at the Hotel Galvez, 2102 Seawall. The festival will take place rain or shine. Festival hours will be 5-11pm June 15th, 11am-11pm June 16th, and 11am-5pm June 17th.

The festival will feature a wide variety of Cajun food vendors, kid rides and live music from a wide array of performers across a variety of genres. Crawfish eating contest, Crawfish Racing, Cajun Gumbo Cook-Off, lots of vendors and more fun will be featured.

Admission is $6 for adults. Kids 10 & under are free.

The Galveston Cajun Festival is organized by the G-County Hope Foundation, which is a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, serves upwards of 500 underprivileged families in Galveston and surrounding communities during the Christmas holiday season. For more info, go to

Calling All Bands

If you are a local, regional, or national act that would like to play at this year’s Galveston Cajun Festival, they are looking for you. They have an interest in bands within the genre of zydeco, jazz, blues, brass, country, tejano, and classic rock.
