September 13th and 14th (6-9pm) – Hotel Galvez Ghost Tour Dinner – Do you believe in ghosts? Hotel Galvez & Spa offers “Dinner with the Ghosts” twice this month. During the tour, the hotel’s concierge guides participants through the ghostly past of the hotel followed by dinner in the Galvez Bar & Grill. September 15th (3-6pm) – Kendra Gives Back Trunk Show – Hotel Galvez is hosting a Kendra Scott Trunk Show with 20% of sales benefitting Galveston Ballet. Sales staff will accept cards only; no cash will be accepted. Browse the new summer collection and home collection.

September 15th-16th (2pm-2am) – Endless Summer Party – Don’t put your Hawaiian shirts and flip flops away just yet; summer may be over but the party is not! Join Float, Dj nonstop, and James Sturrock for a grand ‘ole time! Shot specials include Surfer On Acid and Ocean Waters. Beer specials on Landshark Lager draft. September 23rd (12 noon-3pm) – Kids Fish 2 Tournament – Calling all youth anglers for the 5th annual event. Registration prices are $10 per youth angler ages 12 and under and $15 per teen angler ages 13-15. This event is hosted by West End Anglers. For more info and tickets go to  

September 23rd (12 noon-6pm) – Battle of the Boxes Volleyball Charity Event – Bring the family, bring some friends, bring your entire box because it is about to get real! It’s a $10 buy in per player; co-ed teams of six or more. The winning team chooses their favorite charity to donate all the proceeds to.  

September 28th (7am-4:30pm) – Day of Caring – Sponsored by United Way of Galveston, Day of Caring is gearing up to be the single largest one-day, community-wide volunteer event in Galveston. Local businesses and organizations take part by coordinating teams of employees to spend a day giving back to area non-profit agencies. Half and full-day projects are available, as are direct and indirect service opportunities. The goal for this first annual event is to complete 300 days’ worth of volunteer service in just eight hours! For more info go to

October 28th (9-10:30pm) – 1892 Bishop’s Palace Psychic Gallery Reading – Join Dakota Lawrence as he guides a group of 20 guests through a very special group reading. Dakota, a gifted clairvoyant medium from Shreveport who began his career at 12 years of age, has been guiding people on matters from life questions, to lost loved ones and missing person cases.

October 28th (1-4pm) – 7th Annual Saengerfest Mini Monster Bash Hosted by Mitchell Historic Properties – The festival will be free to the public and include trick or treating throughout Downtown, games, crafts, face painting, balloon artists, treats, and a costume contest. Costumed contestants will compete for Cutest, Scariest, and Most Creative for age groups 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-11. For more info find the event on Facebook.

October 31st (5-7pm) – Trick or Treat at the 1838 Menard House – Galveston’s oldest residence opens its gates for one night of ghostly fun. Bring your kids by for treats. Free for all; be sure to bring your ghost hunting equipment.
