Filmed Live at The Grand 1894 Opera House
America’s favorite tenors – The Texas Tenors – are back with “RISE” – an all-new concert special that was filmed live last fall at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston. The air dates and times for this special performance are: Monday, August 7th at 7pm; Wednesday, August 9th at 7pm; Saturday, August 12th at 9:30pm; and Sunday, August 20th at 6pm. The concert will be broadcast on the local Houston PBS channel.
This concert, The Texas Tenors second special for PBS, follows up their Emmy-Award winning “You Should Dream” performance with a live orchestra and choir performing classic rock, country, pop, and Broadway favorites including their show-stopping tribute to one of the most beloved and cherished musicals of all time, “Les Misérables.”
The concert also includes orchestral arrangements of “Amazing Grace,” The Righteous Brothers’ “Lovin’ Feelin,” John Denver’s “Country Roads, Take Me Home,” and a spectacular and emotional rendition of Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America.”
“This TV special is a collection of music straight from our hearts,” Marcus Collins of The Texas Tenors noted. “To quote our title song “RISE,” ‘Life Can Change in a Moment.’ There are no truer words, and we’re so excited to share our new music with the world.”
