April 6th, April 27, May 4th, June 1st, June 30th, July 6th, July 28thm August 3rd, August 24th, September 7th, September 28th, October 5th, November 2nd, December 7th (4-7pm) – Kayak Excursions – Sea Star Base Galveston offers Kayak Excursions year ‘round. A gentle three-mile paddle through the calm waters of Offatt’s Bayou sets the kayaker on the Central Flyway, a migratory bird path that extends from Alaska to South America and offers the opportunity to see and photograph birds unlike any other location on the Gulf Coast. In addition, participants will experience and explore the wetlands from a personal perspective. The fee is $35 per person and available by reservations only at ssbgalveston.org or by calling (409)572-2560.
Sailing Weekly June 4th-August 10th – All Hands On Deck – Liveaboard Baysmart Camp – It’s not too early to sign-up for these five-day live aboard inland cruises. The innovative program offers a unique environment to learn shipboard operations and explore the waterways of the Texas Gulf Coast. If you have an interest in boating or the Maritime Industry, you can join in the duties of the professional crew. The cruise will be from Galveston Bay to Corpus Christi and back. This is for all ages – youth ages 14-18 and adults. Cost is all inclusive, $1345 per person.
