First published in 1813, Jane Austen’s ultimate romantic comedy – Pride and Prejudice – has certainly stood the test of time, filled with such unforgettable characters as Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy – whose sharp social satire have it all: wit, love, and lots of dancing! Austen humorously skewers the hypocrisies and absurdities of the English class system by putting her women characters front and center. And now you can look forward to the Aquila Theatre bringing this classic to life – with its signature passion, energy, and visual flair. Look forward to a grand evening and experience for yourself how The New Yorker Magazine defines Aquila’s production: “Beautifully spoken, dramatically revealing, and crystalline in effect.” This performance is sponsored in part by Kempner Capital Management, Inc., Texas Commission on the Arts, and National Endowment for the Arts. At this time, masks are recommended, but not required at Grand performances.
