January 26th (2-4pm): High Adventure Book Club featuring “The Gates of the Alamo” – Join the author, Ann Weisgarber, at The Bryan Museum for a lively discussion of “The Promise.” Set against the backdrop of the worst natural disaster of the 20th century in the U.S., the 1900 Galveston Hurricane, this historical fiction novel has shades of Willa Cather, Sinclair Lewis, and Conrad Richter.
