Not to fear, the Chili & Beer is here, again! For the past ten years, Yaga’s has brought a diverse crowd of Chili & Beer lovers from all over the nation to Galveston, TX. This year’s festival will consist of the ever so popular Chili & Beer tasting with a ton of added perks.
Get ready for live music, a 5K Fun Run/Walk, a washer pitching tournament, a jackpot margarita contest, vendors and a historical strand merchant walk-about. As if that doesn’t fulfill all of your festival needs, returning this year is the Craft Beer Festival.
You are invited to join the fun January 18th in Downtown Galveston!
This will take place Downtown at the intersection of 23rd & Strand. It is free to browse.

Chili Cook-Off and Sampling
Whip up a batch of your best chili recipe and bring it on down to the Galveston Historical Strand.
Compete for the gold and Chili Champion bragging rights. Although every chili has its own unique taste, they can’t all be winners. Here is your chance to light up those judges’ taste buds and show ‘em what you got!
Chili teams are serving their best recipes 12 noon-3pm. Teams lining the Historic Strand District will dish out a sample to festival attendees who have purchased an official chili-tasting cup. Walk around and try countless samples for the 3-hour span, enjoy the live music, and cold refreshments.
Beer Fest
Join Beer Fest on January 18th, and take a stroll among 120+ brews and get the chance to taste breweries from across the USA right here in Galveston. General Admission is from 1-4pm unless you want the VIP treatment. VIP access gains you early entrance into Beer Fest at noon, allowing for 1 additional hour of VIP tasting and a guaranteed taste from the limited specialty beers!

This will be held at the Trumpets Building VIP Room, 23rd St. and Strand, Downtown Galveston.
VIP tickets will get you in an hour early and are $40. GA tickets are $30. Cobo Chili & Beer Tasting tickets are $42.
Beerfooter 5K & Fun Run
Put your “Beerfoot” in front of the other in this “Brewiful” Beach 5K Fun Run “hoppening” at Beerfoot Brewery!
The Beerfooter Beach Run is sure to put some pep in your step and beer in your belly! In conjunction with the 8th Annual Yaga’s Chili Quest & Beer Fest, you are invited to get some exercise before devouring warm chili and cold brews. Crazy outfits/team uniforms are extremely encouraged.
