From the HeArt is located at 2111 Postoffice St., in Downtown Galveston. From the HeART Gallery (FTHG) has a ton of fun events this month that are free and open to the public.
Every Friday (4-7pm): Children’s Art Classes – This is not your average kid class – adults enjoy it too and learn something new each time they come. Your children will be learning Art History, Technique, and Elements and Principles of Art from A-Z. The first 30 minutes of class will be the Art History portion, where your children will get to know all the Masters, as well as the contemporaries. We will be going from Primitive Cave art all the way to Andy Warhol. Your children will leave here with new knowledge of the arts, printed handouts of the day’s lessons, and a completed piece of artwork. Pre-registration is preferred.
Every Wednesday, June 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th (6-8pm): Adventures in Art: Happy Hour – Every Wednesday through the end of summer, From the HeArt pairs with Moody Gardens for this fun event that allows visitors to enjoy a little art and conversation with artists during their happy hour. This takes place at Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa, and Convention Center, 7 Hope Blyd., Galveston.
June 7th (7:30pm): Art TALK – Meet five of the gallery artists and a Guest Speaker from a local Small Business. This is a fun interactive event to really get to know From the HeArt artists.
June 12th (6-9pm): 2nd Wednesday Open Photo Shoot – Calling all models, makeup artists, hair stylists and photographers. Similar to an open mic, FTHG is hosting Open Photo Shoots on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. This is a free event.
