What role does fire play in the health of our coastal prairie? Throw seed balls to help restore the coastal prairie. Get your Coastal Prairie Passport stamped at each stop. Experience the coastal prairie’s awesome stillness and beauty. Plus, Lots of Fun Activities for all ages!
This event is sponsored by Friends of Galveston Island State Park (FOGISP), an NPO consisting entirely of volunteers, who help with the preservation and enhancement of the park’s natural environment. Our goal is to provide enriching experiences and educational programs, improve park facilities, and protect its wildlife and its unique ecosystems.
A light breakfast will be served at 8:15am. There is no registration fee, but people who want a “free” T-shirt must include with their registration a minimum donation of $10 to “FOGISP.” Park entry fees are waived for the morning of the event.
