Spreading Holiday Cheer for Kids…The Ultimate Holiday Challenge

Island Elves, A Nash Project for Kids:

Midtown Tavern Takes the Ultimate Holiday Challenge

Have you been looking for a way to give back to your community? Do you want to spread Christmas cheer to children who can use a hand?

Midtown Tavern, located at 5806 Stewart Rd., Galveston is teaming up with Galveston County Child Protective Services to fill a need right here on our island on November 10th, 4-6pm, for a Picking Party!

Midtown Tavern has taken on the task of giving over 100 kids a Christmas they won’t forget and they need your help. Join in helping make this Christmas a special one for these kids by attending the Picking Party and picking your special kiddo off our giving tree.

If you can’t make the party, don’t let that stop you from adopting. They can ‘pick for you’ and get you all the information you will need.

After you select your child, the rest is simple. Refer to your child’s information that you picked for sizes and specific needs, then simply go shopping. They ask that all gifts be new and unused. To better serve all kids equally, consider following our suggestion of purchasing three gifts off their request list and two surprise gifts.

Then, wrap your gifts and make sure each one is labeled with your child’s name, and bring them to 2501 Azalea Court, Galveston or to Midtown Tavern by December 10th. Please call or text when you are on your way to (409)256-7352

Then December 18th, it’s party time for everyone! All Island Elves are invited to join NASH at the Garten Verein in Galveston at 3:30pm to spread Christmas cheer and celebrate these wonderful efforts. The kids will be receiving their gifts at the party and it is guaranteed to be a merry time. They will have music, food, desserts, entertainment, and a visit from the jolly old fellow himself, Santa Clause! Your presence is not mandatory to take part but the more the merrier.
