The NCM’s Museum in Motion heads to Charlotte, NC in May of 2017 for a race themed week. This trip includes NASCAR Hall of Fame Museum, Charlotte Motor Speedway, various NASCAR race shops as well as a very special visit to Rick Hendrick’s Heritage Center and Mike Curb Museum for Music & Motorsports. Throw in a private garage tour and we hope you join us for MIM ‘NASCAR in the South’.

The Gary Artis collection started in 2001 with a purchase of a 1998 Corvette Pace Car. At that time there had been only 4 Corvette Pace Cars and it was Gary’s hope to collect 1 of each. Well, then things really accelerated. In 6 of the next 7 years the Corvette earned the honor of being selected as the Indy 500 Pace Car, which as Gary says “moved the goal posts” quite a bit. Gary did acquire the original 4 Corvette Pace cars he desired and then added 5 out of the 6 next ones. Luckily business was good in late 2000’s and Gary branched off to also collect other Indy Pace Car editions such as Camaros, Trans Ams, Oldsmobile 442’s, a Challenger, a Viper and even a 1984 Fiero. Currently Gary owns 20 Indy 500 Pace Car replicas among his 36 cars. ** Special thanks to Gary Artis for opening up his collection to us ** |

Catch a rare glimpse of NASCAR history- the #2 car Dale Earnhardt drove in his first Winston Cup championship and the #43 car Richard Petty drove in the 199th Winston Cup win. A total of 23 cars are on display, including seven Indy cars, Lee Ann Rime’s first car and, soon, another #2 Dale Earnhardt Car, surrounded by motorsports and recording industry memorabilia. Past Curb NASCAR drivers include Earnhardt, Petty, Dale Jarret, Ron Bouchard and Johnny Sauter. Current Curb recording artists include Wynonna Judd, Tim McGraw, LeAnn Rimes, Hank Williams Jr., and Lyle Lovett. * Admission included in registration **

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Emanuele is sharing authentic Italian recipes enjoyed in the streets of his homeland: Sicily! You will learn to prepare tasty pane e panelle (homemade bread with crispy fritters made from light chick pea flour), addicitve calzone (pockets filled with cheeses and ribbons of ham) and for dessert, flaky cannoncini con creama (pastry horns filled with rich custard). May 24: Backyard BBQ! Chef Bailey will get you out of your BBQ rut by teaching you a slew of tasty new dishes! Start by learning a trio of fun hummus from scratch (roasted jalapeno lime, spicy black bean & balsamic caramelized onion) with homemade pita chips, “grilled” beer chicken sliders smothered with bacon jam, sautéed potatoes and chorizo and coffee ice cream sundaes with a ridiculously homemade salted peanut butter caramel sauce! You will learn to make a seared tuna poke taco topped with daikon radish slaw and drizzled with wasabi aioli. Next, you will make traditional anelletti al forno siciliani (Sicilian ring pasta with homemade ragù, ham and mozzarella – aka ‘spaghettios’). You will learn to make a zesty seafood campachana accompanied by crispy chips. Next, you will prepare pan seared vermilion gulf snapper topped with a sweet heat mango salsa.
