We’ll start by teaching your son or daughter to make mile-high, homemade, fluffy biscuits. Next, they will learn the secret to making crispy chicken-fried-chicken. We’ll make sweet honey butter, butter our biscuits and stack them with the savory chicken to make the best-ever southern biscuit sammies! Everyone will learn to make the best strawberry shortcake topped with fresh whipped cream! This is our kind of HAPPY meal!

Enroll your budding chef in The Kitchen Chick’s Summer Camps!
These classes will immerse your child in a safe, educational & entertaining world of food and feed their interest in cooking! Students will learn different cooking techniques, discuss nutrition/healthy eating and practice food/kitchen safety in these deliciously hands on, interactive and encouraging lessons! Your child’s kitchen confidence will skyrocket!
Each camp is 4 days in length, held 1PM-4:30PM, limited to 12 students (7-14 years) and led by dynamic duo of certified teachers. Campers should arrive having already eaten lunch, wearing closed-toe shoes and long hair secured back. The Kitchen Chick will provide aprons for each child to wear and all supplies and tools. Each student will receive all recipes prepared during their session on their last day of camp.
Registration Information:
Children can register for any number of weeks during the summer – pick one or two weeks, or sign up for all seven! The cost for each one-week (4-Day: Monday, Wednesday-Friday) session is $300 per camper. The Kitchen Chick offers a $25 discount when enrolling a sibling in the same session. Each session can accommodate up to 12 campers. Payment due in full at time of registration.

You will learn to prepare two seafood dishes: classic cozze gratinate (gratin mussels), followed by savory pasta lido (pasta tossed with swordfish, fried eggplants & fresh grape tomatoes) – a perfect summer dish. For dessert, you will indulge with delicious crema al mascarpone (dessert made with mascarpone, a creamy Italian cheese). These traditional street foods are a true taste of southern Italy! Mangia!

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Gulf seafood is all about latitude & attitudes! Chef Mary Bass will teach you how to properly cook & prepare delicious fresh seafood dishes! We’re feelin’ crabby, how ’bout you? You will learn to make a ligth and fresh sweet summer corn and jumbo lump crab soup. Next, you will give soft shell crab a classic treatment: à la meunière (pan fried with a creole sauce). You’ll also learn to make a crispy crab cake accompanied by a creamy remoulade sauce. Finally, we’ll make a refreshing frozen lemon tart with chantilly cream. Summer on the gulf coast sure is tasty!

Chef Mary Bass and her bartending sister Kat Eisenhour both took home Galveston.com’s Best of Galveston honors so they’ve teamed up to teach you tasty taco & tequila pairings! This dynamic duo will show you how to make a triple citrus-poached shrimp cocktail brimming with fresh avocado, red onion & crispy radish scooped with plantain chips and paired with a pink peppercorn rimmed paloma (Mexico’s most beloved cocktail!). Next, you will learn how to make a savory cilantro & mint pesto chicken tostada bowl paired with a refreshing cilantro, mint and basil infused margarita.
