Kids Cooking Camp: Session 7 Around the World! @ The Kitchen Chick

Enroll your budding chef in The Kitchen Chick’s Summer Camps!
These classes will immerse your child in a safe, educational & entertaining world of food and feed their interest in cooking! Students will learn different cooking techniques, discuss nutrition/healthy eating and practice food/kitchen safety in these deliciously hands on, interactive and encouraging lessons! Your child’s kitchen confidence will skyrocket!
Each camp is 4 days in length, held 1PM-4:30PM, limited to 12 students (7-14 years) and led by dynamic duo of certified teachers. Campers should arrive having already eaten lunch, wearing closed-toe shoes and long hair secured back. The Kitchen Chick will provide aprons for each child to wear and all supplies and tools. Each student will receive all recipes prepared during their session on their last day of camp.
Registration Information:
Children can register for any number of weeks during the summer – pick one or two weeks, or sign up for all seven! The cost for each one-week (4-Day: Monday, Wednesday-Friday) session is $300 per camper. The Kitchen Chick offers a $25 discount when enrolling a sibling in the same session. Each session can accommodate up to 12 campers. Payment due in full at time of registration.
Session Information:
Session 7: Campers will take their tastebuds on a trip around the world! Menu includes: delicious Indian butter chicken over rice; French madeline cookies dipped in chocolate; savory vegetable samosas; authentic hand-rolled sushi; fresh sunomono salad; steaming ramen bowls; silky panna cotta with ripe berries and chocolate sauce; handmade pasta with fresh pesto and marinara sauces and meatballs from scratch; crispy egg rolls; homemade fortune cookies; classic beef & vegetable stir fry; traditional fried rice; and authentic chicken tagine stew!

The NCM’s Museum in Motion heads to the coastal region of Seattle, Washington in July of 2017 for an adventure filled 3 days / 4 night stay at a 5-star resort. Be a part of Seattle / Tacoma area and experience the beautiful Mount Rainier. See the ever popular Lemay Museums, Seattle Center (home of the Space Needle) as well as the popular Pike Place Market. Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Buttery, flaky, and tender – the hallmarks of a great biscuit! Join Chef Mary Bass and learn to master the art of baking big southern biscuits! She will teach you her biscuit basics plus you will make a seasonal fruit jam from scratch and a compound butter! Depending on which day you attend, you will also learn to make two gravies: homestyle sausage and creamy white; or crispy chicken fried chicken honey sammies (ssshhhhh they’re better than What-A-Burger!)! We’re throwing a big ‘ol biscuit breakfast baking party!

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Wake up sleepy heads! Chef Mary’s class will lure you back into the kitchen to make a homemade brunch (or breakfast if you are an early bird!)! Learn to make a rise & shine sparkling fruit punch perfect for summer sipping. Next, we’ll teach you how to prepare savory brunch bowl: we’ll start with a layer of creamy bacon and cheese grits, top it with lightly sauteed spinach and finally finish it with a poached egg (we’ll teach you the full proof poaching secret). We’ll bake decadent nutella s’more cinnamon rolls smothered in bourbon glaze (OMG!). Finally, we’ll show you how to make two seasonal fruit syrups from scratch as well as chantilly cream to top our homemade buttermilk waffles. Don’t miss this Sunday FUNday class!

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Get ready to rock the wok with Chef Mary Bass! Your mini chef will learn how to prepare their favorite Asian-inspired dishes from scratch! They will cook a terriyaki chicken and baby vegetable stir fry served over a savory stir-fried rice. Next, everyone will learn to fold their own authentic egg rolls and make a tasty dipping sauce from scratch. Finally, we’ll make decadent fried wonton chocolate dumplings dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled in a homemade caramel sauce. Chopsticks are included!
