Cooking Class: Gulf Seafood – Feelin’ Crabby! @ Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Gulf seafood is all about latitude & attitudes! Chef Mary Bass will teach you how to properly cook & prepare delicious fresh seafood dishes! We’re feelin’ crabby, how ’bout you? You will learn to make a corn, bacon and jumbo lump crab soup. Next, you will give soft shell crab a classic treatment: à la meunière (pan fried with a creole sauce). You’ll also learn to make a crispy crab cake accompanied by a creamy remoulade sauce. Finally, we’ll make a decadent frozen lemon tart with chantilly cream. Life on the gulf coast sure is tasty!

Cooking Class: Tuscan Wine Dinner! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Join Chef Mary under the Tuscan sun for an authentic Italian meal! We’ll start by learning to make a classic panzanella salad full of garden grown tomatoes and fragrant herbs. Next, we’ll teach you to make pasta from scratch. We’ll cook our fresh pasta and toss it with kalamata olives, mushrooms, ripe tomatoes, spinach and artichokes. We’ll create a homemade white wine and pesto cream sauce for the dish and finish it with sauteed gulf shrimp. Finally, we’ll bake a rustic Tuscan apple cake and enjoy it warm with ice cream made locally at Hey Mikey’s. Mama mia, this is going to be a delizioso class!

Cooking Class: Annie Get Your Gourd – Fall Comfort Favs! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Fall-la-la-la-la is here! Chef Mary is celebrating the season of gourds (pumpkins & squashes y’all!)! Learn to make a savory butternut squash & kale quesadilla overflowing with cheesy goodness plus a lime yogurt dipping sauce to accompany it. Next, you’ll prepare a roasted acorn squash salad tossed in a warm apple cider vinaigrette. We’ll make an addicting pumpkin pie party snack mix with chickpeas, pumpkin seeds & pretzels. We’ll end the class on a sweet note with pumpkin praline doughnuts drizzled with a homemade spiced caramel sauce. Oh my gourd this is a great class full of fall flavors!

Cooking Class: Holiday Entertaining – Haute Hors D’Oeuvres! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Holiday entertaining was never easier or more delicious – with help from Chef Mary Bass! In this special holiday class you will learn to make haute hors d’oeuvres! First, you’ll learn to blister tomatoes for a caprese salad topped with a basil chimichurri sauce from scratch. We’ll toss this with sea salt and cracked pepper roasted shrimp. Next, you will prepare seasonal cranberry salsa topped pork medallions on toasted marbled rye. You’ll wrap rosemary cream cheese stuffed dates with in savory prosciutto and drizzle them with balsamic glaze. Finally, we’ll end the class by making mini cream cheese & apple pie egg rolls stuffed with a homemade caramel dipping sauce. For party’s sake, don’t miss this special holiday class!

You will also learn to prepare a fresh pico de gallo perfect for snacking and for dessert, classic plátanos con crema, divine caramelized plantains. Cooking Class: Steakhouse Favorites! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Skip the steakhouse – Chef Bailey Glover will teach her trade secrets for making the perfect steak at home! You will learn how to make coffee-rubbed New York Strip steaks that melt in your mouth adorned with a drizzle of zesty kale chimichurri sauce. You will also learn to prepare classic steakhouse side dishes including a cheesy potato leak gratin and roasted Brussel sprouts loaded with crispy pancetta and tossed with balsamic glaze. For dessert we’ll indulge! You will learn to make creamy crème brûlée using Chef Bailey’s foolproof method! This class is a MUST for all steak lovers!

Cooking Class: Kids Holiday Magic Cupcakes! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Your sweet sugar plum will love baking a trio of magical holiday cupcakes with Chef Mary Bass! They will enjoy baking a hot chocolate cupcake topped with toasted homemade marshmallows. Next, your child will bake an Oreo-stuffed vanilla cupcake decorated with decadent Oreo’s cookie & cream frosting. Finally, they will bake strawberry shortcake cupcakes piped with real buttercream icing and topped with baby biscuits they make from scratch!

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Your little turkey will love learning to make comfort foods that are family brunch-worthy! Chef Mary Bass will lead this special kids cooking class. Your child will love learning to roll homemade ooey gooey heart shaped s’more cinnamon rolls. Next, they will bake an over-the-top tater tot skillet breakfast pizza. Finally, we all know everything tastes better on a stick, so we will deep-fry pancake dipped breakfast sausages. Wowza! Breakfast will never be the same again!
