Learn to make a festive caprese frittata, bake fresh gingerbread scones and mini honey fruitcakes from scratch and cook an unforgettable breakfast tater tot pizza! All the while you’ll be sipping a ginger, cranberry apple sparkling punch! Cheers to a festive Sunday FUNday!

Cooking Class: Kids Holiday Magic Cupcakes! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Your sweet sugar plum will love baking a trio of magical holiday cupcakes with Chef Mary Bass! They will enjoy baking a hot chocolate cupcake topped with toasted homemade marshmallows. Next, your child will bake an Oreo-stuffed vanilla cupcake decorated with decadent Oreo’s cookie & cream frosting. Finally, they will bake strawberry shortcake cupcakes piped with real buttercream icing and topped with baby biscuits they make from scratch!  

 

$50/child. This class is appropriate for children seven years and older.

Cooking Class: Kids Brunch Bunch! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Your little turkey will love learning to make comfort foods that are family brunch-worthy! Chef Mary Bass will lead this special kids cooking class. Your child will love learning to roll homemade ooey gooey heart shaped s’more cinnamon rolls. Next, they will bake an over-the-top tater tot skillet breakfast pizza. Finally, we all know everything tastes better on a stick, so we will deep-fry pancake dipped breakfast sausages. Wowza! Breakfast will never be the same again!

Cooking Class: Southern Biscuit Saturdays! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Buttery, flaky, and tender – the hallmarks of a great biscuit! Join Chef Mary Bass and learn to master the art of baking big southern biscuits! She will teach you her biscuit basics plus you will make a seasonal fruit jam from scratch and a compound butter! Depending on which day you attend, you will also learn to make two gravies: homestyle sausage and creamy white; or crispy chicken fried chicken honey sammies (ssshhhhh they’re better than What-A-Burger!)! We’re throwing a big ‘ol biscuit breakfast baking party!

$50/person.

Cooking Class: Escape to India! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Bailey Glover is excited to teach you tasty dishes that transport you to exotic India!! During this all-veg class you will learn to make addicting Indian fry bread, crispy aloo tikki (potato & chick pea cakes) with a homemade chutney dipping sauce, satisfying curry roasted corn & coconut rice and classically spiced yellow daal. And for dessert, sip on a refreshing mango & turmeric lassi! Turmeric, king of Indian spices, has been recognized for centuries as a healthy powerhouse!

Cooking Class: French Comfort Food Favs! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Bonjour mes amis! Chef Mary Bass will introduce you to favorite comfort foods à la française! First you will learn to create a cheesy, bubbly baked scallop and wild mushroom gratin. Next, we’ll bake fresh artisanal bread loaves from scratch. You will then learn the art of preparing bouillabaisse, a classic Provençal seafood stew. Finally, you will master France’s version of our apple pie – wonderfully delicious tarte tatin! Bon appétit!

Cooking Class: Amazing Asian! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Bailey Glover is here to help your tastebuds take a break from heavy holiday fare and introduce them (and you!) to amazing Asian flavors from the Far East! You will learn to hand roll crispy pork, Shiitake mushroom, ginger & shrimp egg rolls (no cabbage filler!) and make a homemade hot Chinese mustard for dipping. Next, you will prepare a classic carrot and cucumber ribbon salad topped with a tasty ginger dressing from scratch. You will then make a belly-warming shrimp curry full of special Asian spices. Finally, you will bake a decadent Vietnamese banana cake topped with sinful caramelized bananas and vanilla bean ice cream. Say sayonara to Asian take out!

Cooking Class: Santa’s Haute Holiday Party Snacks! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Mary Bass is sharing her culinary secrets to help you transform your holiday party menu from yawn to yay! You will learn to bake savory southern boudin stuffed mushrooms bursting with cheesy goodness. Next, you will master crispy crab cakes with a light corn milk cream sauce and topped with a sweet heat blistered tomato chutney. Who doesn’t enjoy a party meatball? Learn to make ‘disappearing’ pork & beef meatballs in an addicting bourbon-infused bbq sauce. Finally, we’ll end the class on a sweet note by baking heavenly ambroisa shortbread bars. Serving up these appetizers & snacks will definitely get you onto Santa’s ‘nice’ list!
