Cooking Class: Champagne Surf & Turf! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Join the chick and Chef Mary Bass as we celebrate the end of 2017 with a sparkling trio of dishes that all involve champagne! You will learn to make savory beef medallions topped with champagne poached seared scallops drizzled in a champagne buerre blanc snuggled next to roasted cauliflower mash. Next, enjoy creating a crisp winter salad with segmented navel oranges, pomegranate ariels, and toasted spiced walnuts tossed in a homemade champagne vinaigrette dressing. For desert, you will prepare roasted pears in a sinful champagne sabayon sauce. We’re popping corks – you won’t want to miss this special class! Cheers!

Cooking Class: Kids Holiday Magic Cupcakes! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Your sweet sugar plum will love baking a trio of magical holiday cupcakes with Chef Mary Bass! They will enjoy baking a hot chocolate cupcake topped with toasted homemade marshmallows. Next, your child will bake an Oreo-stuffed vanilla cupcake decorated with decadent Oreo’s cookie & cream frosting. Finally, they will bake strawberry shortcake cupcakes piped with real buttercream icing and topped with baby biscuits they make from scratch!  

 

$50/child. This class is appropriate for children seven years and older.

Cooking Class: Kids Cozy Comfort Foods! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Mary Bass will teach young chefs how to prepare some of their favorite comfort foods – from scratch! We’ll start by teaching your son or daughter to make mile-high, homemade, fluffy biscuits. Next, they will learn the secret to making crispy chicken-fried-chicken. We’ll take those biscuits and stack them with the savory chicken to make the best-ever southern biscuit sammies! Everyone will learn to make tasty homemade tater tots and a quick ketchup for dipping. Finally, we’ll make a frosted chocolate cream-filled cupcake that puts Hostess to shame! This is our kind of HAPPY meal!

Cooking Class: Creole Feast! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! You’re invited on a tasty tour of the bayou with Chef Mary Bass that will get you in the Mardi Gras spirit! To start, you will learn to make traditional creole shrimp riding atop crispy corn cakes. Next, you will prepare irresistible cajun glazed chicken lollipops stacked on sweet potato hay. We’ll bake up batches of individual flaky hand pies stuffed with voodoo crawfish swamp dip. For dessert, you will learn to make seasonal bread pudding with drizzled with decadent Kahlua caramel sauce from scratch! Laissez les bon temps roulez!

You will make a classic caprese salad full of garden tomatoes & creamy mozzarella topped with a refreshing white balsamic drizzle. Next, you will learn to make fresh spinach pasta from scratch! Your pasta will be tossed with red bell peppers, red onions and tasty Cajun shrimp. For dessert you will prepare roasted apples in a silky champagne sabayon sauce. It’s amore!

Cooking Class: Death by Chocolate! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Explore the fascinating world of chocolate with your guide, Chef Bailey Glover! She will take you and your tastebuds on a sweet & savory culinary adventure! You will learn to make savory eggplant caponata served over pieces of crusty bread, charred cauliflower & peppers with picada sauce (Spanish ‘pesto’) and a satisfying beef chili who owes it’s intense flavor to an authentic mole sauce. Each of these savory dishes features a special ingredient, wink wink! We’ll end the class in sweet success! You will learn to prepare individual velvety chocolate pot du creme topped with fresh whipped cream and berries. This class is a choc-o-holics dream come true!
