Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Bailey Glover is excited to teach you tasty dishes that transport you to exotic India!! During this all-veg class you will learn to make addicting Indian fry bread, crispy aloo tikki (potato & chick pea cakes) with a homemade chutney dipping sauce, satisfying curry roasted corn & coconut rice and classically spiced yellow daal. And for dessert, sip on a refreshing mango & turmeric lassi! Turmeric, king of Indian spices, has been recognized for centuries as a healthy powerhouse!

Cooking Class: Tacos & Tequila! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Ta-ta-ta-tacos! Chef Mary Bass leads this special class along with her sister bartender extraordinaire Kat Eisenhour that features three delicious tacos expertly paired with three exciting libations. First, you will learn how to make a savory pork carnitas tostada topped with crunchy cumin cabbage slaw, drizzled with Oaxacan sesame sauce and kissed with crispy pork rinds. This dish is paired with a spicy raspberry tequilajito with muddled fresh raspberry, mint and jalapeno. Next, you will prepare latin spiced shrimp nestled in fresh butter lettuce cups paired with a Bloody Maria sporting a serious garnish headdress! Finally, you will make a delicate salmon taco wrapped in homemade corn tortillas, snuggled red cabbage and topped with blackberry salsa. This dish is paired with a fruity frozen blackberry and margarita swirl It’s a double trouble, dream team kind of night! Don’t miss out!

Cooking Class: Rhythm & Brews Beer Pairing with Karbach Brewing! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Join Chef Mary Bass for a tasty stroll along the streets of Memphis. Start by learning to make crunchy Memphis-style pulled pork nachos. Next, you will prepare classic cornmeal crusted catfish on a bed of creamy roasted red bell pepper grits snuggled next to southern ham hock greens. For dessert, indulge in a hunka-hunka Elvis cake: rich banana cake frosted with peanut butter whipped cream and garnished with caramelized bananas & bacon brittle.

MEchanics – Presented by Autozone and Leachman Cadillac @ National Corvette Museum Maintenance and Preservation Department

Join us at the National Corvette Museum on March 3rd at 10:00AM for the re-introduction of our “MEchanics” program – sponsored by Autozone and Leachman Cadillac.

In this two hour class hosted by our own Daniel Decker, students of all ages will learn about the basics of car care from the professionals at the National Corvette Museum.

From changing a flat tire, to checking fluids in an engine, to changing a headlight bulb, students will learn first-hand how to care for their car and become more prepared drivers for whatever may happen on the road.

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Bailey Glover is using her noodle to teach you all about the soul food of Japan: ramen! You will learn to make a steaming bowl of ramen brimming with savory chicken and all the classic fixins. Next, you will make crispy ground turkey lettuce wraps and a roasted Asian chili & garlic Brussel sprouts salad. We’ll cool things off for dessert by preparing a citrus-infused panna cotta topped with fresh fruit. This crash course in restaurant-style ramen will have your making this rich, flavorful dish at home in your own kitchen in no time!

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! It’s easy being cheesy with Chef Mary Bass! Start by learning to make a souped southern fav: hot bacon pimento cheese smothered crostini. Next, you will prepare a classic pecan-crusted cheese ball and learn fundamentals to build a better cheese board. Next, you will fry crispy triple mac & cheese croquettes perfect for dunking in a spicy homemade sriracha aioli. Finally, you will learn to make decadent chile relleno en nogada – poblano peppers stuffed with tangy goat cheese, savory chicken, black beans and roasted corn. Don’t miss all this cheesy goodness!

Cooking Class: Gulf Seafood, It’s All About Attitudes & Latitudes! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Gulf seafood is all about latitude & attitudes! Chef Mary Bass will teach you how to properly cook & prepare delicious fresh seafood dishes! First, you will learn to make delectable sticky honey garlic butter shrimp atop a fried wonton nest. Next, you will pan fry a butter cracker crusted gulf white fish drizzled with a velvety blue crab beurre blanc and snuggled next to herb roasted baby potatoes and lemon pistachio Brussels sprouts. Finally, you will bake a divine southern chocolate bread pudding studded with spiced, candied walnuts and topped with fresh whipped cream. Life on the gulf coast sure is tasty!

Cooking Class: Kids Breakfast Bakes! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Mary Bass will teach young chefs how to bake an incredible breakfast from scratch! We’ll start by teaching your mini chef to make homemade focaccia bread that will turn into delicious baked French toast dippers. Kids will make a warm cinnamon apple sauce to accompany it. Next, they will each bake their own over-the-top cheesy bacon hash breakfast skillets. Finally, they will make seasonal smoothies with fresh fruit and topped with crunchy homemade granola. It’s a breakfast bake bonanza!

 

$50/child. This class is open to children 7 years and older.
