NCM ‘Museum in Motion’ is visiting the Roanoke, West Virginia area for a little ‘R & R’ before the National Corvette Museum’s Labor Day Celebration.

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Join Chef Bailey Glover under the Tuscan sun for an authentic Italian meal! We’ll start by making a traditional Tuscan salad filled with classic ingredients including fresh leafy lettuce, crisp green beans, shaved Parmesan and white beans. Next, we’ll teach you to make your own pasta from scratch! We’ll toss your pasta with a savory red wine ragù and top it with homemade two-meat meatballs stuffed with dreamy mozzarella. We’ll also prepare roasted broccolini served with a mushroom and white wine reduction. Finally, we’ll make cool & creamy espresso pot du creme for dessert! Mama mia, this is going to be a delizioso class!

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Gulf seafood is all about latitude & attitudes! Chef Bailey Glover will teach you how to properly cook & prepare delicious fresh seafood dishes! We’re feelin’ crabby, how ’bout you? You will learn to make a corn, bacon and jumbo lump crab soup. Next, you will give soft shell crab a classic treatment: à la meunière (pan fried with a creole sauce). You’ll also learn to make a crispy crab cake accompanied by a creamy remoulade sauce. Finally, we’ll make a decadent frozen lemon tart with chantilly cream. Life on the gulf coast sure is tasty!

The NCM’s Museum in Motion heads to Northern California in September of 2018 for a scenic coastal tour of the Pacific Coast Highway. Following the IMSA race and Corvette Racing Banquet on the weekend of Sept 8 & 9, we will meet and start our MiM from Seaside, CA. Together we will drive the scenic coastal Hwy 1 towards Mendacino before making our way back though beautiful wine country making stops at castles and wineries and other interesting sights along the way. This MiM will be on the go – a total of 5 hotels all together! All included in your registration.

Half Moon Bay is a small city on the California coast, south of San Francisco. A string of beaches along the bay includes Half Moon Bay State Beach. The Coastside Trail leads north to Pillar Point, near the huge waves of the Mavericks surf spot. Nearby, Montara Mountain rises in the protected Rancho Corral de Tierra area. The Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve is on the slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Bryce Canyon, which despite its name, is not a canyon, but a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. The red, orange, and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views for park visitors. Bryce sits at a much higher elevation than nearby Zion National Park. The rim at Bryce varies from 8,000 to 9,000 feet

The 710-foot high dam was built by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation from 1956 to 1966 and forms Lake Powell, one of the largest man-made reservoirs in the U.S. with a capacity of 27 million acre feet (33 km3). The dam is named for Glen Canyon, a series of deep sandstone gorges now flooded by the reservoir.

It is home to over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the world-famous Delicate Arch, in addition to a variety of unique geological resources and formations. Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Jump on your broom and fly over for our festive sugar cookie class! Chef Stephanie will teach you her secret recipe for making foolproof sugar cookies and how to ice them perfectly. You’ll learn to MAKE, pour, pipe, border, fill, dye, paint and dust royal frosting! Each participant will leave with a dozen spooky Halloween cookies, as well as all the recipes, knowledge and confidence to make them again at home! This class is all treats – no tricks!
