Here’s how it works:
Check-in at any of the locations below, starting at 5pm, (excluding Stuttgarden Tavern, that is the final stop) pick-up your punch card and get ready to crawl.
Visit all of our participating bars, grab a beer, look for a GIB rep & get your punch at each bar.
Final stop is Stuttgarden Tavern. Present your punch card with all 4 locations punched and receive your Galveston Island Brewing Pub Crawl Pint Glass. Earliest check in is 8pm. Stick around and have a few more brews with us at the after party 8-10pm.

Enroll your budding chef in The Kitchen Chick’s Summer Camps & Classes!
Session 5: Summer Lovin’ Comfort Food! Mini chefs will love making all kinds of tasty foods using seasonal ingredients (even some from Galveston’s Own Farmers Market!)! Menu includes grilled bacon smashburger sliders with homemade mayo; summer peach cobbler cups with real whipped cream; crunchy garden salad with homemade ranch and croutons from scratch; mini corn dog bites with lemon tarragon aioli dipping sauce; all-American cheeseburger clouds; creamy strawberry cheesecake bites; spicy glazed popcorn broccoli (surprise, you’ll love it!); authentic Chicago style garden dogs (dragged through the garden!) with crunchy quick pickled veggies; traditional margharita pizza with heirloom tomatoes and fresh basil; classic sugar cookies; cheesy summer squash gratin studded with crispy bacon; rustic fresh fruit tarts; cool & creamy chicken salad sliders on Hawaiian rolls; baked Cheezit-style herby crackers with roasted garlic hummus; poolside avocado grilled chicken club on sliced homemade white bread loaves kissed with honey mustard; classic backyard bbq mac n’ cheese; and dreamy strawberry ice cream sandwiched between freshly baked ginger cookies!
These experiences will immerse your child in a safe, educational & entertaining world of food and feed their interest in cooking! Students will learn different cooking techniques, discuss nutrition/healthy eating and practice food/kitchen safety in these deliciously hands on, interactive and encouraging lessons! Your child’s kitchen confidence will skyrocket!
Each camp is 4 days in length, held 1PM-4:30PM, limited to 14 students (7-14 years; teen camp 13-17 years) and led by dynamic duo of certified teachers. Campers should arrive having already eaten lunch, wearing closed-toe shoes and long hair secured back. The Kitchen Chick will provide aprons for each child to wear and all supplies and tools. Each student will receive all recipes prepared during their session on their last day of camp.
Registration Information:
Children can register for any number of weeks during the summer – pick one or two weeks, or sign up for all five! The cost for each one-week (4-Day: Monday, Wednesday-Friday) session is $275 per camper. The Kitchen Chick offers a $25 discount when enrolling a sibling in the same session. Each session can accommodate up to 14 campers. Payment due in full at time of registration.

June 10th-14th, July 15th-19th: Science Explorers Summer Camp – Get your Einstein on with an extraordinary variety of science topics. FYI, this involves experiencing science…sinking, erupting, wiggling, attracting, repelling, magnifying, floating, crawling, fading, blocking, shining and changing…all these things and a great many more will be happening this week.
June 24th-28th and August 5th-9th: Maker Mania Summer Camp – Tinkering to create will be the theme. From circuits to automaton, campers will design and create a variety of way fun stuff. Tasks will be varied, as will the materials used, so the only thing extra that’s needed is your camper’s imagination to bring it to life. This camp is recommended for ages 7 and up.
June 24th-28th and August 5th-9th (ages 4-8) – The Art and Science of Storybooks – Using some classic storybooks, campers will explore the science and art within. Be it the science of color, animals, or paper, they will investigate. Regarding the art, children will learn about the illustrators and explore their work on their own terms.
July 22nd-26th: Sewing Summer Camp – Girls and Boys alike will enjoy this camp for all levels of experience with sewing. Campers will have flexibility in their projects as they choose from skirts or pillows, bags or stuffies – there will have plenty of options to choose from. Campers will experience machine sewing as well as hand sewing to create their very own items. This camp is recommended for kids 8 and up.
The Galveston Children’s Museum is an Island resource that attracts families and serves the community with fun for children in all areas of education, and offers self-directed activities promoting science, literacy, math, and the arts. It showcases dynamic exhibits targeting a primary focus group of children ages 2-10 and conducts special programming for children of all ages.
Exhibits are “Our Town,” “Kid’s Clinic,” “Building Zone,” “A Stroke of Genius,” “Tinker Workshop,” “Explore & Discover,” “Now Starring You,” and “A Room to Grow.”

Do your young ones have a passion for art, science, nature, and love to work with their hands? If so, a specialty art camp like Artist Boat’s Eco-Art Camps may just be the perfect fit. Camps run all summer long and can be taken a week at a time. Sign up now as spaces are limited to ensure small camp size and individual attention.
Artist Boat uses S.T.E.A.M., an educational approach to learning that uses science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
Artist Boat has won national recognition for its educational programs and is a leader in outdoor educational experiences for small groups led by scientists and artists.
Campers use the scientific method to investigate processes in our ocean. Each camp culminates in the creation of artworks that illustrate the knowledge that campers have acquired about our ocean. Camp sessions are designed for children Kindergarten-Sixth Grade and split into groups of ages 5-8 and ages 9-12.
Summer Camp sessions are $150 per week for half day sessions or $300 per week for full day sessions. Camps are held from 9am-12 noon and 1-4pm. Sessions are limited to 12 campers.

Artist Boat’s purpose is protecting our Gulf Coast through land conservation and with fun, educational, inspiring adventures that spark creativity, awareness, and action.
Since its inception, over 100,000 participants have helped bring 40,000 students to estuaries by kayak, foot, or vessel; created over 50+ public artworks; conserved over 600+ acres on west Galveston Island forming the Coastal Heritage Preserve and creating a place for the future Gulf Coast Environmental Education Center; restored over 50 acres of dunes and prairies to assure recovery of these ecosystems following Hurricane Ike; formed the Bucket Brigade comprised of a Marine Debris Task Force; conducted interpretive tours; and beautified buckets for trash, recycle centers, and more on Galveston beaches.

Have fun bonding with the baby in your life while we share music, fingerplays, simple stories, puppets and early literacy tips. Recommended for 0-18 months.

Every Monday (10am-10pm): Military Monday – Active Military members can visit Moody Gardens with half-off of the Value Pass every Monday. Tickets are just $30 (regular price $69.95).
Senior Tuesdays (10am-10pm): Senior Tuesday – Seniors 65 years old and above get half off a Value Pass to experience all of the great attractions like the Rainforest and Aquarium Pyramid.
Every Wednesday (10am-10pm): Mommy (or Daddy) Wednesday at Moody Gardens – Come and enjoy #MommyWednesday, where Moms or Dads can bring their toddlers 4-5 years old and enjoy all the exhibits for half-off per person. Explore the depth of the Aquarium Pyramid, see if you can find both sloths in the Rainforest Pyramid, and enjoy a 3D and 4D movie.

July 16th, August 20th (12 noon): Learn to Cook with WIC – This free cooking class is led by Chef Mary Bass. Students can eat a fresh meal for lunch, gain cooking knowledge, and create a recipe based on average monthly WIC benefits. RSVP to (409)938-7221. You can receive $30 of FREE fruits, vegetables, and plants from local farmers at the weekly markets. Vouchers are good until Halloween and can only be distributed one per year. You must bring your WIC “Shopping List” (the paper printout you get at the clinic) in order to receive the vouchers.
