The Arts & Culture Conversation @ The Grand 1894 Opera House
Aug 20 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

This will be the first of 6 island wide all inclusive events discussing Galveston’s Arts and Cultural diversity and what our Culture is as islanders. We want to hear from our artists, our residents and our businesses. We want to hear from you. Come. Hear. Be Heard.

Doors open at 5:30 in Edna’s Room at The Grand. You are invited to participate in hands on activities to identify our arts and cultural assets including architectural structures, museums, galleries, tours, programming, etc. These activities will give visual representation to clusters of assets and allow you to provide input on what you feel is missing here on the island. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available.

At 6:30 you will proceed to the theater for open discussion on the cultural mapping process, what to expect from a cultural master plan and how you can influence the outcome. Timing is now for Galveston to elevate its position as a premier arts and cultural community.

Be part of the conversation!
