Cruise on down to Crystal Beach, Texas Mother’s Day Weekend for the 35th annual Texas Crab Festival, now in its new home at Festival Park! With a Crab Gumbo Cook Off, carnival rides, coastal arts and crafts, and live music all weekend long, it’s a full weekend of family fun on the Texas Gulf Coast. Splash into the fun of the Crab Legs contest, Two-Step Dance contest, Wiener Dog Races, tournaments, rides, Kid’s Stage, crabby games, auction, and certified 5K Texas Crab Festival 5K run. Savor a variety of crab specialties and festival favorites, as you browse booth after booth of beachy arts & crafts. Bring a beach chair and settle in for an exciting lineup of gulf coast music favorites taking the main stage all weekend long.So grab your mom, grab the family and boogie on down to Bolivar Peninsula for the biggest beach party of the year!

Vettes at One Daytona Corvette Show Hosted by Ponce Inlet Corvette Club is a Clean and Shine Show, you can sign up to be judged or people’s choice, Chinese and Silent Auction, 50 /50 and Music by D.J. Frank Roberts. $ 200.00 Cash for most club participants. Many Restaurants and Shopping are within walking distance. Located directly across from Daytona International Speedway. Don’t miss Friday’s Hospitality Night Party at Down the Hatch Seafood Company from 4 – 7 p.m. This is a Rain or Shine Event.

Every Saturday, weather permitting, Galveston Railroad Museum, located at 2602 Santa Fe Place, Downtown Galveston, offers train rides for all ages on The Harborside Express.
The “Harborside Express” is an open-air caboose that travels 1 mile up Harborside Dr., then returns to the Galveston Railroad Museum. The train rides are approximately 15 minutes long. The train is a standing ride without seats. Due to the caboose being open air, the rides will sometimes be closed during inclement weather.
Boarding for the Harborside Express begins at 11am, with the last train ride departing the depot at 1:45pm.
Tickets are $5 in addition to admission to the Galveston Railroad Museum and must be purchased at the museum or at galvestonrrmuseum.org.

Every Saturday (1pm): Galveston Island Brewery offers free Brewery Tours! Tours are about 30-minutes long. Beer, camera, and questions are encouraged. Come and see how the magic is created in the brewery warehouse.
Galveston Island Brewery (GIB) is a local brewery featuring an on-site taproom showcasing classic beer styles from around the world. The tap room is open seven days a week, Monday-Thursday 3-9pm, Friday 3pm-11pm, Saturday 12 noon-11pm, and Sunday 12 noon-9pm. Trio du Jour takes center stage at The Tremont Jazz Series. The Tremont House, A Wyndham Grand® Hotel, hosts a free jazz night every Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. in the 1888 Toujouse Bar. Trio du Jour, formed in New Orleans in the 1990s, “Performs hot swingin’ jazz from the 1940s to the present with along with some mellow favorites,” says Pianist Leah Stonum.
