The Sunday market also features wonderful goods and the charm of Bryan’s courtyard. It is always free to browse and most events are FREE to participate.

GOFM is always “BYOC” – bring your own cup. They have eliminated single-use cups for the free Sunday morning coffee station and Thursday water station. Support the initiative by cleaning out your cupboards and donating unwanted mugs to market for others to use.
Our friends from Wüsthof Knives will be at The Kitchen Chick to help you get your blades back in shape! Customers can bring 2 to 4 knives per person (no serrated, no ceramics) and have them professionally sharpened for a donation of pet food or supplies (or cash!) to the Galveston Island Humane Society!
Our friends from Wüsthof Knives will lead a hands-on knife skills class here at The Kitchen Chick! Join us as Andrew Wellings of Wüsthof teaches you to handle your knives like a pro! In this HANDS-ON 2 hour class you’ll learn to grip, chop, cut, dice, slice and more!
The class fee is $20 per person; the knowledge you’ll gain is priceless. Bonus: customers who buy a Wüsthof knife that day can apply $10 of the class fee to their purchase!

No refunds or credits will be given for a cancellation made less than 72 hours before the class. Cancellations or changes can be made by calling 409-497-2999 or emailing alicia@aliciac1.sg-host.com. When a class is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will contact you by email or telephone and issue a full refund. If you miss a class due to weather-related concerns, our standard cancellation policy applies.

*Products typically available include: kombucha, fresh bread, hand-roasted coffee, teas/salves/tinctures, olive oil, baked goods, salsa, jams, fresh eggs & meats and fresh produce. All GOFM markets utilize only LOCAL vendors selling foods they grow or make themselves, which means at certain times of year we have very little produce because our local farmers have very little harvest (ie if it has rained a great deal, or the middle of summer, immediately after several days of freeze, etc.)

May 19th, June 9th (2pm): Victorian Tea at the Bishop’s Palace – Enjoy a special guided tour of the 1892 Bishop’s Palace complete with a specialty tea and light snacks. Tickets are $30.
Enroll your budding chef in The Kitchen Chick’s Summer Camps & Classes!
Teen Sous Chef Training Camp! Teens (ages 13-17 years old) will move beyond the basics and master fundamental techniques in this hands-on cooking camp! Sous chefs in training will hone their knife skills, learn and execute specific cuts, properly measure with precision (and why it’s so important!), practice kitchen safety, master the classic mother sauces as well as searing, sautéing and frying. Chefs will use their newly acquired skills to craft delicious dishes from scratch each day! Successful chefs will be invited back to assist as an official Kitchen Chick Sous Chef with the remaining camp programs and classes.
June 12th-13th, July 10th-11th, August 7th-8th, September 11th-12th, November 13th-14th, December 11th-12th (6pm): Ghost Tour Dinner: Dine with the Ghosts at Hotel Galvez – Do you believe in ghosts? Hotel Galvez & Spa, 2024 Seawall Blvd., invites guests to learn more about the paranormal during its “Dinner with the Ghosts” tour. During the tour, the hotel’s concierge guides participants through the ghostly past of the hotel, which is considered one of the most haunted places in Galveston. The tour begins at 6pm and is followed by dinner at Galvez Bar & Grill. Priced at $56 per person (inclusive of tax and server gratuity), the one-hour public ghost tour is only available as part of the ghost dinner package. Advance reservations are required.
