January 25th-February 9th: 2020 Galveston Restaurant Week – The ninth annual Galveston.com & Company Galveston Restaurant Week brings Galveston Island’s vibrant food scene to life for two full weeks of delicious dining. This year, Galveston Restaurant Week eatery has committed to help Access Care of Coastal Texas provide weekly lunches to its clients. These lunches provide nutrition for persons with HIV or AIDS. Twirl your way through the streets of the Downtown Entertainment district Friday, February 14, 2020 for the 10th Annual Funky Uptown Umbrella Brigade. This FREE event offers families, friends, corporate groups, organizations and individuals a chance to do a little dance, have a lot of fun and get down tonight. Sponsored by The Galveston County Daily News.
Check in the night of the parade and we will assign you and your team a number if you would like to enter the contest.

Please enter at 22nd and Mechanic (Only) gates open at 5:00 PM. You will only receive FREE entrance at the 22nd & Mechanic gate. Captains check in at the front of the Electric Stage and we will give you your large group number.
No wagons, strollers or coolers please
Parade line up will begin at 6:30 PM
Parade will start at 8:30 PM
For groups being judged. Judging will take place at 23rd & Strand, judges will be on the balcony at the corner of 23rd & Strand
The Hokey Pokey will be danced in front of The Tremont House.
Captains once the parade is over please drop off your numbers behind the ticket booth at 23rd & Mechanic this is where we will give the winning Krewe their 30 Balcony Party Tickets for having the best theme & costumes.

The parade begins on Strand Street at 20th Street, proceeds west on Strand Street to 25th Street, travels south on 25th Street to Ship’s Mechanic Row, then proceeds east along Ship’s Mechanic Row to 20th Street, and north along 20th Street to Strand Street.
