November 17th (12:30-3:30pm): Arbor Day in Galveston – Come celebrate Arbor Day Galveston in the Conservatory at the Bryan Museum under the Live Oaks to honor Galveston Island Tree Conservancy’s 2019 Deep Root Award Recipient, Dr. Jackie Cole, and 10 years of reforesting Galveston Island. For tickets and information contact TreesForGalveston@gmail.com. Since 2009, the Conservancy has planted almost 19,000 trees across the Island. They hope to replant another 6000 trees and then continue to help maintain our new trees AND conserve and preserve our Ike survivors. Tickets are $100 per person.
