July 11th (6pm): Community Cooking Class: Fresh Veggies Pizza – Kitchen Chick‘s Alicia Cahill will lead this class which is all about using the best of GOFM’s seasonal produce to make an effortlessly delicious meal. Who doesn’t like pizza? She keeps it simple, economical & delicious, all while utilizing key summer ingredients from the market and the grocery store. She’ll highlight the abundance of cherry tomatoes, okra, basil, peppers, eggplant and summer squash available at the market during this season. Students will take home new recipes, eat a varied menu of delicious dishes and share a laid-back 2 hours with food-loving folks. This class is held in at The Kitchen Chick, 2402 Market St., Downtown Galveston. Tickets are $5.
