August 11th (11am-12 noon): Monarchs & Milkweed Seminar – Christine Anastas, a Galveston County Master Gardener and Galveston Bay Area Master Naturalist, will be giving a free Monarchs & Milkweed seminar at Tom’s Thumb Nursery! Her passion is Monarch citizen science and staying up-to-date on both Monarch and Milkweed scientific studies. Her talk will include Monarch Basics and the milkweed that Monarch caterpillars need to survive. There will be freebies and beverages. This will be held at Tom’s Thumb Nursery, 2014 45th St., Galveston. No advance registration is necessary.
