August 11th (12 noon-7pm): Princess Samitha Artist Auction & Cancer Benefit – “Our beloved Princess Samitha has a battle that she’s fighting very hard to keep ahead of. We want to celebrate all of her joys and hold onto her for all the hard times too. This event is a celebration of the fun and loving community that she has built with her art and her gallery dreams. This is a day of love!” There will be a live auction and fundraiser for Samitha Edwards to help bear the burden of the treatments. The musical host will be Catherine Stroud. There will also be a Silent Auction with items, all created by artists in the Galveston community. All auction items will be identified on a card and added into the event. Live auction items will be paid upon final bid being accepted even if you have a phone advocate bidding for you. Silent Auction items will be biddable all evening until 7pm.
