Galveston Independent School District will host its annual Back to School Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, August 2nd, at Ball High School Cafeteria, 4115 Ave. O, in Galveston.
The fair will offer parents and students a chance to get ready for the first day of school with a variety of services offered. There will be free backpacks and school supplies handed out.
There will be GISD-sponsored booths and community vendors. Vendors will have free handouts for everyone who visits. The fair will allow parents to register their children for the new school year and sign up for transportation.
Information on services offered by the Teen Health Clinic, which provides free or low-cost primary health care to students and their families will be available, as well as financial tips for students from the Coastal Credit Union.
*Door prizes provided by vendors will be awarded to lucky attendees
