Join us to see taffy being “pulled”, “spun out”, and packaged, right before you eyes. A special treat is in store as the candy maker tosses out samples for EVERYONE! Nothing beats fresh, warm, taffy. You can even get one of the girls to dip a pound or two right out of the catch basket.
Taffy pullings are daily at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm.

Family sand castle building workshop, equipment provided.
Think you’ve got some good sand castle-building skills?
Ranger Lisa will clear an area for our contest, and bring some gear for you to use. We want to see what kind of castle you (and your family and friends) can make. Everyone is invited to spend some time gathering materials, building a structure, and decorating it to your liking!
Wear sunscreen, bring a hat, and come prepared to be in the sand for this special art contest! (Don’t worry, everyone wins….)
Meet Ranger Lisa for a brief orientation and space assignment before beginning. Only sand castles made during the program count. No prior experience or materials needed.

The 17th season for Island ETC gets under way on July 5th with their production of the smash Broadway musical “Mamma Mia!” The musical runs through August 3rd.

Set on a sunlit Greek island, the musical tells the story of Sophie, a young woman preparing for marriage. She is hoping her father can walk her down the aisle, but she has never met the man. Her mother’s diaries provide clues as to who he might be, so she sends wedding invitations to the three possibilities, getting their attention by putting the invites in her mother’s name.
“Mamma Mia!” is written by Catherine Johnson with music and lyrics from ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus.
