Galveston’s Own Farmers Market operates 2 markets every week, Thursdays & Sundays.
Join us this Sunday and every Sunday!
9am-12pm (June-September)
9am-1pm (October-May)
at The Bryan Museum – Galveston (1315 21st St)
year-round
*There is always live music and activities/information offered by one of our many Community Partners, whether it’s Rosenberg Library, Galveston Island State Park – Texas Parks and Wildlife, Galveston Sports Massage, facepainting or beyond…
*Products typically available include: kombucha, fresh bread, hand-roasted coffee, teas/salves/tinctures, olive oil, baked goods, salsa, jams, fresh eggs & meats and fresh produce. All GOFM markets utilize only LOCAL vendors selling foods they grow or make themselves, which means at certain times of year we have very little produce because our local farmers have very little harvest (ie if it has rained a great deal, or the middle of summer, immediately after several days of freeze, etc.)

Bucket Brigade Interpretive Beach Tours are free for the public, last approximately 45 minutes, and are offered at Stewart Beach in Galveston. Join the Bucket Brigade in exploring the creatures and features that make Galveston beaches unique. Hands-on activities investigate topics including Galveston’s turbid water, marine debris, Sargassum landings, and more.
In June and July tours are available Wednesday-Sunday, weather permitting. Starting in August, tours are offered Friday-Sunday. Participants can sign up on location near the Beach Patrol Tower #6 at Stewart Beach. Tours are scheduled to start at 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, and 3:30pm.
Artist Boat’s purpose is protecting our Gulf Coast through land conservation and with fun, educational, inspiring adventures that spark creativity, awareness, and action.
Since its inception, over 100,000 participants have helped bring 40,000 students to estuaries by kayak, foot, or vessel; created over 50+ public artworks; conserved over 600+ acres on west Galveston Island forming the Coastal Heritage Preserve and creating a place for the future Gulf Coast Environmental Education Center; restored over 50 acres of dunes and prairies to assure recovery of these ecosystems following Hurricane Ike; formed the Bucket Brigade comprised of a Marine Debris Task Force; conducted interpretive tours; and beautified buckets for trash, recycle centers, and more on Galveston beaches.

Third Coast will be wrapping up the Retrospective show of Jack Morris’ work on August 18th so now is the time to come by and see some of his never-before-seen watercolors and Private Collection oil paintings. We have a number of fine art paper prints & Giclées for sale and available in-house. We thank everyone who took time to visit with Jack and his family at the preview party on Thursday, the 11th of July and then again at the Opening Reception during ArtWalk on the 13th. Jack thoroughly enjoyed visiting with everyone!
No worries though…We have another great show on the horizon! Opening Reception will be during ArtWalk on Saturday, August 24th from 5:30-9:30. We’ll be featuring the works of Plein Air watercolor artist, Richie Vios! Richie will be in town a few days prior to the Opening and will be painting all around Galveston so keep an eye out for him! Richie was one of 42 Plein Air artists who took part in the Galveston Historical Foundation’s Homes Tour Plein Air competition. His work was extremely well received and every painting he did while here sold during the preview party prior to opening to the public. We’re excited to show his ethereal and imaginative work at the Gallery!
