November 9th: What’s on your Plate? The continents of today once formed a large landmass known as Pangaea. Over time, the spreading of the sea floor and plate tectonics separated the supercontinent and created geologic formations. Using modeling clay and a special tool, you can speed up geologic time and see how subsurface processes create folding and faulting that affects where oil and gas can be found.
