Galveston Pirate Festival To Be Held Sept 19th

Hoist the sails and ready yer crew!

The first-ever Galveston Pirate Festival is chartin’ a course for adventure. For three swashbucklin’ days, the island will brim with costumed rogues, live shanties, cannon fire, and treasure-worthy fun for the whole family.

The main festival is at Moody Gardens Saturday, September 19th.

The festival is family-friendly- there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Attendees are encouraged to don their best pirate attire and immerse themselves in the swashbuckling spirit of the weekend.

Purchase tickets online for $25. At the gate, tickets will be $30.

Monday September 15th

Event: Monday at MOD Coffee

Location: MOD Coffee at 2126 Post Office St Galveston, Texas 77550

Time: Come anytime between 7AM-7PM

Cost: FREE

Start the week off right with Caffeine to prepare for the pirate adventures ahead. Come grab some delicious coffee from MOD Coffee in a pirate costume for 20% off your purchase and grab some themed Pirate bites. Rumor has it there is a special prize for the best dressed.

 

Tuesday September 16th

Event: Jean Lafitte Pirate History & Drinks!

Location: Diana’s Bartique at 2425 Strand Suite 100, Galveston Texas 77550

Time: 7PM-9PM

Cost: FREE 

Pirate History! Come grab some delicious free lite bites and drinks at the bar of Diana’s Bartique on the beginning of the Strand. Jim Nonus, the Co-Founder of the Lafitte Society, will give a 35 min presentation on notorious Pirate Jean Lafitte and Galveston’s Pirate History.

 

Wednesday September 17th

Event: Dinner & Drinks at Pirate Island Bar & Grill

Location: 728 Seawall Blvd. Galveston Texas 77550

Time: 7PM-10PM

Cost: FREE

Come grab some delicious pirate themed Vietnamese food and have some rum punch with your fellow Pirates. Spike the Owner has prepared some special items and the cannons are loaded!

 

Thursday September 18th

Event: Pirate Fashion Show at Hendley Wine Co.

Location: 2016 The Strand Galveston Texas 77550

Time: 7PM-9PM

Cost: FREE

Come grab some food and drinks and watch the Pirate fashion show. This is a great opportunity to grab any last garb before the festival. Fashion show garb provided by A Pirate’s Life – Pirates Plunder. And show space provided by Hendley Wine Co.

 

Friday Sept 19th

6PM-9PM:  Public Pub Crawl (Go at your own pace – Watch the Boat Parade – No Tour Guide – Starts at 1877 Tall Ship Elissa)
