Join us as we step back in time through machines, performances, music, costumes, lectures, and immerse yourself in the world of Steampunk.
The Galveston Steampunk Festival has something to offer for all ages, including authors, entertainment, live demonstrations, games, vendors, presenters, and much more.
Set against the historic backdrop of Moody Gardens and Galveston’s storied past in Historic Downtown Galveston. This immersive festival transports guests into an alternate history where steam powers the future.

Friday, April 11, 2025 – Steampunk Pub Crawl
Steampunk Pub Crawl (6-9pm)
Raise your glass and toast to a weekend of gas lamp revelry as we embark on an excursion through Galveston’s historic taverns. Steampunk attire is encouraged, and themed libations will greet you at every stop. Passes are $40.
Saturday, April 12, 2025 – Steampunk Festival at Moody Gardens
Steampunk Festival (12–9pm)
The heart of the festival unfolds at Moody Gardens, where attendees can enjoy a variety of performances and activities throughout the day, culminating in a spectacular lightning show before the festival concludes. See schedule details.
- Adult Day Pass: $35 per person
- Kids Day Pass: $15 per person
Passes are for 1 person; all day access to festival; all day access to Steampunk Market; all day access to panels, car show, and entertainment.
Interactive Experiences at Moody Gardens
Discovery Pyramid Pass:
20,000 Leagues Under The Sea Adventure: Showtimes are 5:30 PM, 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM. Passes are $25.
Steamboat Tour Experience: 1 hour Bay Tour, on the newly restored Bay Queen, a historic Replica vessel. Passes are $75.
The Art of Music Experience: open 5-9 PM
Other Events
High Tea Experience
Enjoy English tea served Victorian style, plus a Tea Talk by professional. Tea and delicious foods with Waterfront views will be had by all that attend. Passes are $85 per person.
Full Moon Strand & Railyard Ghost Tour
Tour with the author of Ghosts of Galveston. This tour includes stories of 1900 Storm victims and more, plus tips for capturing photographic evidence from a paranormal investigator. This will start at 10pm. Passes are $60 per person
Sunday, April 13, 2025 – Steampunk Sunday at the League Kempner Mansion
League Kempner Mansion Steampunk Experience:
Held 12-5pm, passes are $25 per person
Includes tour of the mansion, airship races, Victorian lawn games and more. There will be a picnic on the mansion lawn.
Victorian History Model Y Driving Tour
Victorian Neighborhood Walking Tour, passes are $60. Tours are included and take place 10-11:30am
- Model T Victorian Home and History Self-Driving Tour on a 5 Seater:
Begins at 12 noon, passes are $170. - Model T Victorian Home and History Self-Driving Tour on a 8 Seater:
Begins at the mansion, passes are $210.
Enjoy a variety of activities including a Model T Group Photo, mansion tours, a picnic, airship racing, tea dueling, Victorian games, a Steampunk fortune teller, a magician, and a craft area.
Victorian Neighborhood Walking Tour: $60
Begins 10am-11:30am. This is a tour of history and architecture with local author with stories of residents of the era, including a director of the “Wizard of Oz”
