Fairy Tale Ball Coming Up at the Galveston Children’s Museum

Calling all Heroes to Superhero City!

Join us on Saturday, April 5, 2025, as the Moody Mansion transforms into Superhero City for an unforgettable evening of adventure and excitement benefiting the Galveston Children’s Museum. This family-friendly event supports the museum’s Learning through Discovery programs, which inspire critical thinking and self-directed learning in children of all ages.

The night kicks off at Hero Headquarters, where families can enjoy fun games and refreshments. As the event progresses, adults can unwind at Guardian Kingdom with drinks and dining, while Tweens dive into an engaging Murder Mystery Dinner. Young heroes will be entertained by our rogue vigilantes and fellow warriors of justice. The evening culminates with a grand dessert party, dancing, and the ultimate mission to save the universe! It’s the perfect event to bring the whole family together while supporting a great cause!

Attending the gala offers a wonderful opportunity to be part of a milestone celebration as the Galveston Children’s Museum marks its 10th anniversary. This special event honors the incredible sponsors and partners who have been instrumental in making a difference in the lives of tens of thousands of children since 2014.

As the museum’s only annual fundraiser, the gala is crucial to sustaining these programs and providing continued support to underserved families. It’s a special evening where parents and children can celebrate together, enjoy a meaningful event, and contribute to the future of the museum and the community it serves.

Inspiring Past Highlights:
Over the years our programs have offered exclusive, transformative experiences. Some of our most memorable moments include: releasing Webb Space Telescope Images with NASA and providing hands-on learning days like DaVinci Day and Here Comes the Surf Day in partnership with Jr. Lifeguards, TAMUG, UTMB, NOAA, and MD Anderson for special events. Not to mention our monthly Free Family Days and our Everybody Plays program that makes the museum accessible to the entire community, or our ability to engage our littlest learners with our weekly Mini-Makers program.

In 2025, we’re dreaming even bigger with more programming and offerings for our families! We invite you to support this important fundraiser through event sponsorships, auction item donations, or in-kind contributions. Together, we will ensure another decade of empowering young minds through discovery and imagination.

Action-Packed Agenda

5:00 – Heroes Assemble!
Families check in at Hero Headquarters (Moody Mansion Gardens) and kick off the adventure with fun games across the Superhero Cityscape.

5:45 – Sidekicks and Super Squad Divide!
Young heroes will venture off for more games and a super-powered dinner, guided by our festive staff. Meanwhile, tweens (ages 10 and up) enjoy an evening filled with exciting activities and adventures designed to keep their superhero spirit high (Above the Moody Mansion Garage).

6:00 – Heroes Assemble for the Grand Banquet!
Adults head to Guardian Kingdom (Moody Mansion) for drinks, delicious food, and an exciting Live & Silent Auction.

7:45 – Family Super Squad Reunites!
Everyone comes back to Hero Headquarters for sweet treats and dancing like true heroes.
