We are almost halfway through summer at the Galveston Children’s Museum and camps are more popular than ever!

Three of our camps have sold out this summer and the late summer camps are filling up quickly. If you’ve been thinking about registering your child, now is the time to act!

GCM summer camps are offered at two levels: ages K-2nd Grade and 3rd-5th Grade. Our activities and presentations will vary depending on the level though the objectives will remain the same. We pride ourselves on being able to accommodate our campers and their different learning styles and interests. Camp Format: You can choose a themed Monday-Thursday camp or do a Friday drop in camp. Camp Rates: M-Th Camp: $180 for members, $200 for non-members Friday Rates: $45 for members, $50 for non-members COOKING CAMP and ROBOTICS CAMP are both CLOSED.

When is camp?

  • Camps run every week Monday-Thursday from 9a-3p.
  • Families have the option to sign up for Friday Drop in and sign up for an extended day until 5pm

What are the Camp Rates?

  • M-Th: $180 for Members and $200 for non-members
  • Friday Drop In: $45 for members, $50 for non-members

Who’s teaching camp?

We’re proud to have a talented team of educators leading our camps! Instructors include certified elementary teachers like Rebecca Silva and Jontae Brown, as well as specialists like Nic McIntyre from Ball High’s Robotics program. Our goal is to provide high-quality, engaging experiences led by passionate professionals.

  • August 1st: Fun Friday Drop In
  • August 4th-7th: Simple Machines and Crazy Contraptions – Camp is filling up
  • August 8th: Last Fun Friday Drop In Camp before school starts – Camp is filling up

A FIRST TIME CAMP FOR SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS

Only one week until the Galveston Children’s Museum launches our very first camp designed for children with higher support needs.

We are working to build a program centered on inclusion, fun, and connection. We still have a few available spots left, but don’t wait!

When: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM

Cost: $200 per week

Whether it’s one week or all four, your child will have a true camp experience, filled with fun, friendship, and discovery. Space is limited to 10 students each week. Limited scholarships are available
