Grand Kids Festival Returns April 26th

29th Annual Grand Kids Festival Sets Sail For Swashbuckling Fun!

Ahoy, mateys! Get ready for a treasure-filled day of entertainment, adventure, and pirate-themed fun at the 29th Annual Grand Kids Festival! This year’s Festival, taking place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10am to 5pm, will transform Postoffice Street (from 20th to 23rd streets) in Galveston’s Historic Downtown Cultural Arts District into a pirate’s paradise.

The Festival promises a treasure trove of activities and entertainment for all ages. Professional family entertainers, student dance groups, musicians, storytellers, and stunt bike riders will take to the stages, offering non-stop thrills and excitement. The Artisan’s Tent will be a haven for those who love pirate crafts, while the Storytelling Tent will transport visitors to a world of wonder and magic.

Kids of all ages will delight in the variety of activities offered – including arts and crafts, animal petting zoo, inflatables, and trackless train rides. And when it’s time to refuel, a variety of delicious food options will be available from our food booths and local restaurants.

An annual Festival highlight is always the production staged by Missoula Children’s Theatre, and this year is no exception. “Alice and Wonderland” is an original musical adaptation that features a cast of 50-60 talented area youngsters. The show will have two scheduled performances during the Festival and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Aspiring young performers are invited to an audition for “Alice and Wonderland” on Monday, April 20, 2025, at The Grand 1894 Opera House, 2020 Postoffice, at 4:30pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for local youngsters to get involved in the performing arts and be a part of this exciting production.

The mission of the Grand Kids Festival is to engage children and families in the arts, promoting creativity, imagination, and self-expression. By providing a FREE, fun, and interactive environment, the festival aims to inspire a love of the arts that will last a lifetime.

So mark your calendars, mateys, and join us for a day of pirate-themed fun, entertainment, and adventure at the 29th Annual Grand Kids Festival! We can’t wait to see you there!
