
Explore, Observe, and Create in the Artist Boat Eco-Art Camp Sessions! Artist Boat Eco-Art Campers will experience true science and art enrichment with outdoor activities and art projects. Join us for inspirational education!
Due to the nature of the camps, sessions are designed for children ages 5 to 10.
Registration is required and spaces are limited to 12 students to ensure small camp size and individual attention. World Health Organization (WHO).

Artist Boat’s Eco-Art Camps are the perfect activities for your young campers (age 5 to 10) to be experiencing during their Winter Break, Spring Break and Summer Break.
The disciplines of science and art merge for these themed day camps on the Coastal Heritage Preserve.
Campers will explore nature trails and the waters of Galveston Bay to learn our natural surroundings and then create unique art pieces based on what they have learned.

Why Did Artist Boat Cross the Road?
Get an exclusive look at the new land Artist Boat is acquiring along 3005 between 8 Mile Road and Pabst Road.
Come explore the soon-to-be conserved land and trails! Enjoy a shuttle bus tour through the Coastal Heritage Preserve, where you will arrive at the next 204 acres of coastal prairie and wetlands that must be secured by June 30.
While you wait for your tour to begin, enjoy fish tacos and cocktails under our event tent.
Beautify the Bucket
Be a part of helping to keep Galveston Beaches clean by artistically painting a Park Board Blue Trash Barrel. These beautified buckets will be distributed across Galveston Island Beaches and Special Events.

The Beautify the Bucket Art Contest occurs each Spring, prior to the World Ocean Day Festival, and allows participants to take an active role in beautifying Galveston Beaches and improving stewardship behaviors. Individuals and groups of all ages can participate in beautifying a bucket.
2026 Competition Timeline
- Bucket Pick-Up begins Monday, March 16th
- Registration closes Friday, May 1st (or until stock is depleted)
- Bucket Drop-off begins Monday, May 4th
- All Buckets must be returned by Wednesday, May 27th
Artist Boat will be closed Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day - Judging takes place Saturday, June 6th
- Winners announced Saturday, June 6th at 4:00 pm
