9am-1pm (October-May)

year-round

*There is always live music and activities/information offered by one of our many Community Partners, whether it’s Rosenberg Library, Galveston Island State Park – Texas Parks and Wildlife, Galveston Sports Massage, facepainting or beyond…

*Products typically available include: kombucha, fresh bread, hand-roasted coffee, teas/salves/tinctures, olive oil, baked goods, salsa, jams, fresh eggs & meats and fresh produce. All GOFM markets utilize only LOCAL vendors selling foods they grow or make themselves, which means at certain times of year we have very little produce because our local farmers have very little harvest (ie if it has rained a great deal, or the middle of summer, immediately after several days of freeze, etc.)

Clean Galveston’s Walk About @ Downtown Galveston
Oct 19 @ 11:00 am – 9:00 pm

Clean Galveston’s Walk About turns 28 on October 19, 2019.

A Treasure Hunt Through Galveston Island’s Downtown/Strand District

Walk About is a fundraiser for Clean Galveston, Inc. d.b.a. Keep Galveston Beautiful and proceeds go towards supporting all the activities of the nonprofit organization. We are hoping to use funds raised from this year’s Walk About to kick off a grant program to fund other non-profit projects on Galveston Island that align with Clean Galveston’s mission statement.

Walkers enjoy a fun day of visiting thirty participating businesses in downtown Galveston. At each stop folks pick up a packet of playing cards, possibly making a winning hand at the end of the day for prizes. Clean Galveston has produced this event for 27 years, 2019 will be its 28th Walk About!
