Whether you are a seasoned player or picking up a paddle for the first time, Galveston Island Pickleball at Moody Gardens Golf Course is the perfect place to play.
Featuring outdoor courts, a relaxed coastal setting, and food & beverages from Pelican Grille, it is a fun and social experience for locals and visitors alike.
Located at the Moody Gardens Golf Course – just minutes from the main Moody Gardens Hotel and attractions – the courts provide an easy activity for:

Whether you are playing casually or sharpening your skills, Galveston Island Pickleball is ready for you.

Beginner Classes!
Newer to the game? Drop in for casual play during Newbie Nights every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Beginner classes will help new players learn the fundamentals of pickleball in a fun, low-pressure environment. Classes take place Sundays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM for $20.
It’s the perfect way to meet players, build confidence, and level up your game together for just $5.
Dine & Dink
Starting June 12, enjoy the ultimate Friday night combo with Dink & Dine!
Play pickleball from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, then enjoy the Friday Night Buffet from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Grab a paddle and hit the courts with daily open play available all week long for just $5 per day. No partner needed and all skill levels are welcome.
Our facility features four outdoor pickleball courts designed for players of all skill levels. Players can enjoy: dedicated outdoor courts with wind resistant fencing; a welcoming environment for beginners and experienced players; a scenic golf course setting, courtside seating, food & drinks from inside Moody Gardens Golf Course’s Pelican Grille
