Join Us for Artist Boat World Ocean Day Festival
June 4th from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm at East Beach, Galveston Island
The ocean is beautiful and alive! It’s oceans of fun, and it will inspire you to protect our seas and the Texas Coast!
Enjoy a fun and educational good time! Partner organizations will host interactive activities to help ocean-lovers of all ages learn about the marine world and how we connect to it.
Live Entertainment: Tom’s Fun Band will perform music and comedy to make learning about preserving our natural resources fun. You will chant, clap, and sing along as you learn more about everyone’s role in conservation.
Explore the Tent: There will be opportunities to sign up for a Bucket Brigade Beach Tour, check out the Beautify the Bucket competition on display for judging, and meet our exhibitors while joining in on their fun activities and MUCH MORE FUN!
Eco-Art Workshops: For the first time this year, there will be workshop tents to participate in. Join us to paint a clay ocean creature, be part of a drum circle with a world traveler, turn trash into treasure with a famous marine debris artist, create your own screenprint, and more!
This event is FREE for all ages and so are all the workshops! Don’t miss out on the fun!
Beautify The Bucket Art Competition
Help Artist Boat beautify the trash receptacles along Galveston beaches to enhance the views of the beach and catch the eye of visitors.
Your beautiful and clever artwork helps to increase the proper use of the trash receptacles in our Beautify the Bucket Art Competition. Together we can all help to reduce marine debris!
Registration is open until May 8, 2022. Judging & display occurs on June 4th, at East Beach during the World Ocean Day Festival in Galveston, TX.
Viewing and judging are held on June 4th at East Beach during the World Ocean Day Festival, in Galveston, TX. Winners will be announced at 12:00 pm.
